The Company |
805 Honey Company is the result of a Carpinteria local who has an admiration for honeybees and wants to share this enthusiasm and the benefits of honeybees with others.
The collage of pictures on our homepage tells the progression of our first honeybee hive removal from a home. The first picture is the luring of bees from inside the walls to a nuc hive. As a side note, the homeowners wanted us to remove the siding as seen in the picture. The amount of deconstruction seen in the photo is NOT typical! The second picture is a Bee's Eye-View from inside our bee-friendly vaccum used to remove the straggling field bees that returned after the majority of the hive was removed and placed elsewhere. The third picture is of the starter hive the bees were placed into. This particular hive makes our Channel View Raw-Unfiltered honey. The final picture is of the view some of our hives have of the Santa Barbara Harbor on an overcast day.

As sole proprietor of 805 Honey company, Kerry started beekeeping while reading the book, First Lessons In Beekeeping, and coincidentally, she met a local beekeeper who was looking to off-load a few of his bee hives. Seizing the opportunity, she took two of them to put into practice what she was reading. It wasn't long before she was hooked.
With all of the honey and beeswax at her disposal, she started researching and experimenting with various uses for these bee by-products. Realizing how much benefit was achieved from the products (and leaving her Corporate America job), she developed the natural skin care product line that is now available to all to enjoy.
